Terrible company. After nearly 3 years of trying to settle with them, countless phone calls (many of which ignored and never returned), and rude customer service and substantial legal fees; I have finally recieved a settlement agreement that is hardly enough to cover costs I have been paying out of pocket myself. This company hired a contractor to remediate water damage and did not remove water from all known areas where water had been found and I subsequently had to pay another company to do the job and remove the mold. Mutual Insurance refused to take any responsibility and I had be subjected to harsh criticisms from their adjuster Nicholas Frederick who told me the reason I found mold under my previous laminate flooring was because my concrete was "dirty." Nick seemed as though he was coercing me into cleaning up the evidence of mold in my living area which was visible in multiple locations and fermenting under my kitchen cabinets. For over a year, my family and I had to breathe in mold spores circulating throughout my home until I could afford the 5000 plus relocation fees to stay out of my home until remediated. I had pictures of the mold, a professional mold report and even had the adjuster back to see for himself. Instead of an apology for putting my family at risk, I got nothing but caloused remarks and unkind words from Mr. Fredrick, who which I might add is not an employee of Western Mutual but a contractor who appears to have no concern of the clients he serves since he is an independent contractor who has no concern for the company's reputation. This company deserves a zero star! BTW, as many others have stated about Western Mutual Insurance; I too was dropped from their company after submitting my claim. They would not renew after my year of service with them was finished. Good Riddance!!!

My poor grandfather has been ripped off by this company twice now. Sad that they prey on the elderly. They are in several lawsuits and about to be in another.

Company is horrible. Takes 20+ minutes just to speak to someone. Communication is awful. They screen calls and refuse to speak to you regarding claims. They send letters in mail because they are scared. I cancelled policy after 5 years. Never again!!!

The supposably manager is very rude! They only cover what is convenient for them and will cancel your policy without notice!!

Skyrocketing costs and unreal rate increases?
Western mutal balence sheet is strong and exspected to get stronger. Ability to pay claims is very good. Dealing with agent was quick to the point and right on target..as of writing its rated A and just getting stronger with preffered customers.
